This gives you consistent forms for a two level structure with a terrace option. If you print on colored paper, perhaps doing a brick pattern print first, you will have a very quick bit of terrain.

Basic Aegyptus Buildiing

The door frames should be overlaid with an additional layer of card to add depth. The rest of the structure could be detailed with tiles cut from card to give the effect of bricks or stone blocks, as you've probably seen illustrated elsewhere.

Determine shape and size. Cut tiles. Draw guidelines on subsurface of structure. Glue tiles in place. (Cover with desired texture, if any.) Paint. Attack-Defend-Play.

I'm seeing that it may not be especially helpful to many of the veterans here, but may still be worth sharing for the new arrivals to Aegyptus.

With this simple, stand-alone pylon (page 1), I've started from colored block so that with a color printer all you need do is print and paste. I haven't included tabs, but a beveled margin around the template would do if needed.

Let's see if this works for sharing an isolated pylon-

I thought that I'd get a simple trial version printed and assembled yesterday, but the earthquake meant we spent the morning doing clean-up and the afternoon sleeping off the exhaustion and emotional fatigue. I will get to this within the week, updating files as I go.
