Event Organisers: Thoth Froth and SlowLoris
Hi all Well, it is that time of year again and I have to say that I cannot believe we are planning for a historic 4th Wargods festival. I really hope we can get to 30 players this year, it would be something to reach this landmark figure. It will be in the new Virginia Woolf buildings again (very posh and also warm!!). Okay, the rules will be printed later, but this year it will be 1600 Ka 5 Harbingers. Players can design and submit two warbands with the proviso that the Harbinger does not change. This will give players a bit of flexibility to cope with the terrain. Last year saw Burkhard take the trophy to Germany is anyone brave enough to challenge him? Each year has seen a different winner, will this year see Rob, Ruarigh or Burkhard become a double winner? We will be pushing this event locally again in an attempt to get more players in. We will have the Bring and Buy in aid of the RNLI and the Tea & Coffee and snacks tables out. This year we will try and get the scantily clad ladies along again (Nuff said )!! We are allowing Aegyptus, Wendigo, Olympus and Viking warbands. I am working on a Wargods of Nippon set, but this will not be ready for this year (I am hoping it will be play tested for next year though). Right ho, off to the main sign-up. You know what to do guys... Thoth is having troubles accessing the internet at the moment, so asked if I would be willing to help out with your warband setup again this year.
So we have 1600pts, which is to include your Ka 5 harbinger. Pick one power, and your 4 stat increases, and I will roll the rest for you. Apparently you may submit two bands this year if you so wish, keeping the same Harbinger for both, to compensate for the various terrain set ups and scenarios. Ahead of sending my two forces off for verification, I would like to announce to all participants in this year's tourney that Black Pyramid Gaming LLP will be setting up shop again on the morning of the gaming day. So, if you have any figure requirements from Croc, please either purchase from us beforehand or send an email for any of the really new stuff by the 29th October to give us chance to put in an order. Less than a month to go, looking forward to seeing you all for some rumbunction a little bit later on. Once again my arch nemesis Simi H is joining us, Hooray! He's eschewed his usual Typhon/Nekharu warband of sleeze and dirty tricks to join the Myself and Mike in the ranks of the noble men (and occasional monsters) of Hellas. I will get my list to you asap but being at uni without all my stuff it may have to wait till this weekend. Also, Chris Billinghurst will be there with something if he could be added to the list?
