A question my group has always argued about and never solved involves minimum unit sizes. On page 29 of the rule book it states that a normal infantry unit must be 10 models, so the question is, is that 10 troopers and any champions would push the minimum to 11, or can a champion be considered a part of the original 10 so 9 troopers and 1 champion to make 10 models.

Well, the the rulebook is clear that the minumum starting unit size for human warriors is 10. The problem comes in that we sell missile units in packs of 10 (9 archers/slingers and a captain), so a lot of players have 9-man units and a captain.
Honestly, it's something we never thought of when packaging the units (we thought we were doing everyone a favor by including the captain! My solution is to say that a 9-man missile unit is OK, so long as it begins the game with the captain attached to it, making the total model count 10. If he detaches during the game, no biggie. Or, if you are really picky about the rules, just consider the captain model in the pack a normal warrior.

Maybe that could be add as author note to Olympus rulebook. If you take a unit of 12 + 1 captain you have a optimised unit for root save. Because 10 is 3 miniatures for 25% and 13 is 4 miniatures.

Characters do not count towards unit size for the purposes of rout saves. That was cleared up in the FAQ.
