I saw this crocodile head recently and then a spark of imagination made me start this conversion. Since I've already got themostskoomestever Ammut beast figure I decided to put this new one up on eBay for other to enjoy. I've put a link to the auction in the off-topic section. Looks good.
Have to start looking in $2 stores for suitable plastic animals... I'd dismissed them mostly as being so far out of scale for normal use but for a monster like that there's a lot more flexability.
