Hey, both Pat and I are intending to come up from Vic again. Have not booked yet. Going to have enough to go ahead?

I have spoken with CGS and asked them to amend the timings so that the event is held over the Saturday and Sunday.
Therefore I do believe the event will go ahead at this stage. I now have 6 people intending on playing, and another 2 who have said they would be interested in attending if the event is held over the Saturday and Sunday. Although I will caution that at this stage - assuming Akenatum and Jackalking can make their respective treks for the weekend - we are at minimum numbers. No pressure guys (seriosuly).

No pressure he says - but under that pressure and with this announcement I will be there either typhon or anubi under the sign of the jackal or the donkey !!!!!

I'll play... but only if Pat or Tim drops out of playing to run my shop... ... so is not a net gain in numbers... Am trying to chase up a couple more people down here- but most of them are just as likely to go for FoW as for Wargods...

Hi all,
Just to let you all know we currently have four registrations... so all those who haven't yet, please do... and for those that have, please submit your list. We are hoping to have a player's pack, complete with background info etc, ready to go within the week - however no list, no player's pack (as an incentive).

Not sure if Fenrihr mentioned it earlier, I'll be running the torunament on the day, so obviously I wont be playing this year.
I'd also like to stress the importance of getting certainty of numbers early on. We have a bit of prep work to do and if numbers change close to the date it will just make things harder.

Well, we've just registered.
Jacqueline will probably be running her basti again. I would like to do myceneans if Croc 7 turns up soon otherwise I don't know. Maybe naughty donkey-lizards... or reprise sebeki... haven't decided yet.

Jackalking (and everybody): army lsts can be sento to me at wargodsact@yahoo.com.au. I'll then let you know what your ka powers and spells are, and you'll be forwarded a players information pack.
Barry: At this stage I have 6 registrations... although I did commit to CGS (the Cancon organisers) that we would have a minimum of 8 for the event to go ahead

Just a reminder, for those who don’t have the Cancon booklet to hand... the tournament details are:
The tournament will be run in 6 rounds over 2 days.
Warbands can be up to, and not exceeding, 1500pts (following all the restrictions as per the Rulebook), using any rules (including Hyperborea and Olympus) published up to 31 December 2011 ... with apologies to all the Mycenaeans who are still waiting on Croc Tales 7 Harbingers (or equivalents) may start at Ka 2 (or equivalent). Equipment should be close to What You See Is What You Get. (Armour may be one grade higher than appears on the mini, all weapons should be correctly represented except Javelins & Throwing-clubs). Warband lists must be submitted to the organiser prior to the event. Random elements will be generated by the organiser on submission of the list and be the same across the tournament. Heavy armour may not be taken in combination with a shield. Ka levels may be acquired throughout the tournament via victory in Provocation (as per the Rulebook). Acquired Ka powers will be determined randomly by the organiser. Where the player does not bring the miniature(s) for particular powers (e.g. Favoured of Bast) they will get the lowest numbered power they do not already have.

are MOW's permitted a free magic user's staff? i see they are mentioned in some spells e.g. earth's tremor- but there appears to be no mention of them anywhere in the equipment section or that of the master of words section.

The 'magic user's staff' is descriptive text only, not a piece of specific equipment...

It is something used purely for artistic description/'fluff' purposes and is not an item of equipment that can be purchased seperately... and more importantly, does not mean that a sorcerer comes with a 'free' hand weapon.

Just in case anyone else is having trouble finding the most up-to-date warband generator, it is available at:
http://members.iinet.net.au/~markradge/ Includes: Aegyptus from rulebook (note, priests of amun may only be selected as the race of the Harbinger due to the wording of the rules in the book) Olympus, including Satyrs, Minotaurs, Spartans and Myceaneans from Croc Tales & the playtest book Wendigo from the book Necropolis Guard from Croc Tales I think that is everything....regardless, anything that was released before April 2011 is in this generator.
