Anyone seen the Hecate sculpt lurking around anywhere? I understand she likes the shadows and all, but it is now time for her to reveal herself. (or at least her green!)
She's coming along - I'm still battling with her hair, he's having a 'bad hair day'! I'll get a pic up this weekend so you guys can see the progress in any case...

I saw the green at H'Con and thought it was a fantastic sculpt!

Hecate in progress...

She's nearly done, I just need to add several more strands of snaky hair on the sides and back.

The woman figure at the top of her staff is actually sculped in 3 directions (forward, left and right rear), and they all share the same arms. This is to reflect the tripartite nature of Hecate (she was a goddess that was often depicted with three faces/bodies.)

Hope you guys like her so far...

Here's a pic of Des' stunning concept art for her as well! Part of the reason this miniature has taken so long is that I've been trying to stay fairly close to what he depicted here. Sculpturally, I could have made her much simpler and made my job a lot easier, but the end result would not have done the concept art justice!

This version of Hecarte is also featured in a couple of the interior illustrations in the rulebook, including the image that was shown on the Kickstarter page, as well as another battle scene.

Yea... That's beautiful. Thanks for showing her to us. Other than Medusa there was no sculpt about which I have been more curious. I think there is perfect iconography in Des' sketch and on this sculpt, with the tripartite figure on her staff as well as the moons and the stylized flame imagery. A+ I wonder if the dagger might not make a good bit (pardon me) at some point.

While this more than lives up to my best hopes, I would like to say that I was not prepared for Hephaestus to be that good. He would have been my last pick until I saw the sculpt. Now between him and the Automatons I'm maybe more excited about my Hephaestus warband than I am about anyone. ~Tim

Wow! Just pledged an additional $15 to include her as yet another add-on.

By the way, who (what?) are her two pets and the little winged creature in Des's concept art?

Hey fitz, do me a favor and stop making these awesome looking models. I just donated 15 bucks for a model I never had interest in using on the game table. However you had to go ahead and make a great looking model that I absolutely need to have. At this rate I am going to be buying everything that you release. You sir, are going to put a huge dent in my wallet.

Greg.

Ps keep up the great work. :)

Not rationalised as anything yet, just beast/hell-dogs. Probably my intent was something comparable to Artemis, but darker. It was quite a while ago I did that concept…

Not mini gargoyles, but homunculi.

Homunculi

I've been called a lot of things but legend isn't one of them :P

Latest progress report: the first group of Demigods (Ares Artemis, Hephy, Athena, Poseidon, and Apollo) and the third batch of Trojans have been dropped off at our mold-maker's! I somehow managed to drop Hades while heading out the door - DOH!, so he's undergoing repairs and going in with the next batch (with Hecate). We hope to have some of the first castings of these around the end of next week.

Great news, and thanks for the update! Looking forward to that first wave of deliveries. Been waiting for high quality sculpts of Poseidon and Athena for a long time - and the Trojans! Time to start researching ancient architecture so I can design some "high walls" :)

Nope, he just broke one of the 'tongs' off of his 2-pointed spear. This sort of thing happens with the brown putty, it is great for weapons but can be a little brittle. Once I fix it it you won't be able to tell anything ever happened.

Exciting news! Especially as I have me some Trojans coming. Will you be sending the Hecate WIP and this info out on a KS update? A lot of backers (foolishly) won't be checking this thread.

Great with those small updates Chris, I am glad to hear no major surgery was needed for Hades.
