Hey everyone!

I'm going to be posting some of the new sculpts for the Kickstarter to this thread, as they get completed. Feel free to post on the thread, words of encouragement are always appreciated - I've got a lot of sculpting to do!

First up is the Bronze Automaton Minotaur! This mini is now about 98% done, I just need to make a few clean-ups here and there, and a couple small details. He stands about 2.75 inches tall, and he's on a 40mm base. The final miniature will have a slotted-tab, and stand on the base with his feet at an angle and his head facing forward to the base edge. His head and weapon are separate pieces.

He was a bit of a challenge to sculpt for me - working on mechanicals is a bit of a departure, as is very large miniatures. But hopefully you'll all be happy with the way he turned out!

Tune in next week, for our Lady of Darkness... Hecate!

Hi I am very happy you opened this thread, as I really hoped for something like a weekly or two weekly little update on the progress of sculpting. Nothing big is expected I think, but a picture here and there will help to keep the olympian fire burning ;-)

Eagerly waiting to see Hecate, cheers Thomas

Looks great. Kinda wish I got that instead of the cyclops. How long after kickstarter shipments will the models be available in the crocstore?

The more I look at this mini the more I dig it. It is the little details that sell it, like pattern work on the shoulder pads, the intricate neck armor, and the plain, yet effective looking, knee guards. You might not be used to sculpting bigger models Osiris but if this is you trying to find your stride I think you will be impressing people more and more with your larger models like you always have with you standard size fare. Kudos sir, truly awesome work there.

Chris & Debs,

The Bronze Minotaur looks great! I am so happy that I purchased the add-on Automatons during the Kickstarter Campaign! I really appreciate the time you both are taking at updating us on the progress of the project and posting photos of the sculpts. Needless to say, I'm really looking forward to the Hecate Demigod miniature as well.

Respectfully, KEVIN

Now THOSE are the proportions I was looking for in a Minotaur!!...

...relative proportions I mean - not necessarily the physical size.

I'd love to see "living" sculpts done in those proportions (perhaps 80% of that height). Apologies to Benoit, but I'm not a big fan of the exisitng Mino sculpts - I had always hoped that Croc's Mino's would have the more "classical" look (ripped athelete with a bull's head - much the way the Aegyptus races look - that would've given them just a hint of a possible mysterious connection to Aegyptus).

Agree with Sandfly. The current Minotaurs just aren't my cup of tea either. This is MUCH more like it.

I like both. This bronze machine and the grotesquely obese living ones!

good idea for the thread. But can i ask that when it gets to 9 pages can we start another thread. The post 9 page bug still needs to be fixed.

Anyone seen the Hecate sculpt lurking around anywhere? I understand she likes the shadows and all, but it is now time for her to reveal herself. (or at least her green!)
