Nottingham is probably a tad far for me to travel at the moment, but I could easily do something in London if anyone fancied that.

I would be interested in a 1 day tournement (coming from the Netherlands) but I would like to know the date early to make all travel arrangements.
DJ edit: London would be Ok for me

I'm reluctant to set an exact date until we know the Trojans and Amazons will ship on time. Not that I think they'll be late, just better safe than sorry. Assuming they do then February or March is what I'm aiming for. The exact can be fit around when is best for the most people.
London is a lot harder for me to get to but as long as they're spaced at least a couple of months apart, I'd try and attend both.

I have a couple of 1000pt lists I'll be working towards haha
I'm in for a nottingham tourney, and a london one, but as I said on the ks comments thread, my club will be able to put on a 1 dayer on a sunday in chelmsford.

i may be interested if i could
a: convince my wife to drive me to Nottingham from Bournemouth b: get my Aegytpus figures from the US to the UK (possible if the trip to US at Easter is before the arranged game) c: said Aegytpus factions are allowed d: i do not have to work that weekend/day/time

Well there was a tournament that was in the UK (not been to it in a while) in the south of England (Canterbury) but was a touch far for me to go to really, a West midlands one would be awsome. Keeping fingers crossed that it happens... Or that I can sort one out.

I think the only thing stopping a Nottingham tournament from going ahead would be lack of attendance. The date can be arranged so that it suits everyone best and I've no issue with Aegyptus warbands.
Chelmsford is very tough for me to get to. Which is not to say I wouldn't give it a damn good go :)

I know in the past we had one at the Stoke Challange show only small but was good. If you can tie it into a show then that could help as people like to go to shows and could help with costs.

It would held at Wargames Foundry so it couldn't be tied to a show. On the other hand, the costs of hosting a tournament there I think would be minimal. Possibly as little as only needing to cover prize support.

Wargames foundry would be cool, I've never played there so would be a good experience!
I'm gonna start working on my mates to get some more players

If we do something in London, then we should be able to use Dark Sphere. It's small, but can easily handle 8 6x4 tables (so 16 players). Most dates would be workable, as long as there's not a major Magic release within a week or two.

Good stuff,
I've been there once, is it best on the train?

Spoke with Foundry today and they're happy to host a tournament for no charge.

I'd like to arrange it so that the maximum amount of people can attend. Assuming the Trojans and Amazons ship on time that means they should be reaching us by November, at the latest December. Allowing a couple of months for people to paint (if they want to, unpainted is fine), and get a few games in, then I'm thinking either February or March next year.
If people want one sooner than that and don't want to wait till the Amazons ship then we could have one using the currently available Aegyptus, Olympus, and Hyperborea minis. This would be in addition to the one in Feb/Mar next year. If people want to play but won't have minis then I'm fine with with proxies as long as they're clear as to what they represent. Spartans and Mycenaeans should both be easy to proxy.

Well if someone is able to pick me up at the local airport (I think Derby has direct flights to my region of Germany) I would be most interested!

March would be ideal, gives me two months to paint my armies and two months to learn to play haha

I would be interested, although I would prefer a date later in the year than February or March. It is quiet a trip from -Germany to make and it would be great, if it could be combined with a week in Snowdonia.
Cheers, Burkhard
