Funded in a weekend, Congrats!
The amazons are looking nicely menacing and reduced postage to the UK! This is great as I think $55 would have excluded me and many others (my apologies if you're reading this in the 'rest of the world') from participating. I may have missed it but I don't see any reference to magic use. Will there be a Hellenic flavoured equivalent to Masters of words, witches and Necromancers? These are some of the most fun to play aspects of Agyptus, will we see something similar in Olympus? Cheers Stu

I have a question. There was mention a while back somewhere about the possibility of mercenary/generic Greeks/Olympians to represent other city states that are not part of the main factions of the game, almost an Asar faction for Olympus to my understanding. We have also seen in the fluff and the concept art that there are Cretan Pirates in the Wargods universe. Are either of these groups still in the cards and if so will we see them in the rulebook at least, if not as stretch goals during the KS campaign?

![]() Osiris said:Thanks for the quick response sir. Those words are music to my ears. The main reason I am hoping for the mercs/generic factions is that I have a back burner project making a couple of phalanxes of Memnon's Ethiopianst to roll with the Trojans. As Trojans and Amazons are soon to be a reality it looks like I need to ramp up this project sooner rather than later.

A quick question, Can I choose to get the miniatures from the kickstarter to be spartans as opposed to any of the releasing ones?

Loving the new format for Greek units; Phalanx/swordsmen/peltasts/archers, more variation than we've been used to.
Does this mean that Myceneans/Spartans will be getting the same treatment? Cheers Stu

well the Mycenaean/Spartans are getting a new archer unit - generic greek archers
say will this one be available through the addons?

![]() hazpak said:The universal archer pack isn't far enough along to show off. They're going to have basic warriors that can be used for pretty much any city-state, and but the captains will have distinctive elements of their city-states design.
The reason to do these this way was to try and reduce the production costs for figures that are basically the same for each city-states. The archers were not really the cream of the crop - they were the guys who could not afford armor and spears, to fight like real men!

or women ;)
Pity - thought i hope the captains will also be available separately

Hello! I am hoping to back the campaign as soon as my paycheck comes in! :)
But I was wondering what the general playstyles of each City-State will end up being? I am absolutely in love with the way the Trojans look, but I wonder if the Amazons may be more my playing style! I can only choose one! Thanks.

Check out the croc tales issue 7 in the downloads section that have playtest rules in them for the Spartans and Mycenaeans. It should give you a taste of what to expect.
If you can see the updates on the kickstarter there is also a pdf of some of the amazon fluff. Otherwise its also on the crocs facebook account

I sort of asked this earlier and am still a bit confused, my question involves all the new stuff heading our way - right now I have pretty much used up my entire summer miniature budget on this Kickstarter (although I will still be sneaking some additional croc stuff into my collection, I am a bit of a Croc fanatic), but am wondering about the status of the new miniatures once they are getting produced. My question is, how long, once the rewards are shipping, would it be before we see the new 'stuff' in the regular Croc store? for example, Demi-Gods are hopefully ready in September - I would imagine the kickstarter participants would see theirs first, but then how long would it be before we could pick up additional Demi-gods in the on-line store?
Thanks Barry

Can someone clarify for me how add ons work? My thinking is if I want the skirmish set ($160 pledge) and 4 demigod add ons ($15) each then I would pledge the amount of $220 and select the $160 reward that I want. Then I wait until the project funds and Croc sends an email on which I submit my faction of choice and the 4 demigods I want. Is that correct?

@Bowie Hotep: In the latest update, #6, there is a PDF File in it marked AMAZONS EXCERPT that gives you there fluff and even stats! Gives you an idea of them. Playstyle for Spartans and Mycenaens can be found in Croc Tales #7 and I'm guessing Trojans will be pretty good bowmen since they will have a unit of bowmen sculpted in the style of their City-State, whereas the other City-States will have generic archers.
Here's my breakdown of their styles, from what I've played, read, guessed: Spartans: Best, most disciplined, fighters in Olympus. Nearly impossible to rout. They are pricey though. The Heru/Typhon of Olympus. Mycenaens: Higher defense and arcane means they can go toe to toe with the Spartans and are less susceptible to the MOW's of Aegyptus. Plus they have the sweetest specialist out there, the TITAN HUNTER! They are the Anubi of Olympus. Amazons: Will fight as good as Spartans most of the time, but with a lower discipline and arcane equal to Mycenaens. They are the Khemru of Olympus, but fight waaay better! Trojans: No idea really. Maybe they'll be good shooter like the Basti, but I don't see them be that cowardly.

Akori is right on with his descriptions. The only thing I'll add is for the Amazons -- they are not Hoplites, so they don't fight in the phalanx formation, just fight as regular spearwomen. This means they'll be less expensive per model, and you'll be able to get more on the field (or use those extra points on mounted arch... - shhh! - not unlocked yet!)

Concept art for the Oracle of Delphi revealed as well! "I foresee that a great concept design will be turned into a great miniature, if the Croc's can get to $65,000..." Check it out - Des really knocked the ball out of the park with this latest concept! --Fitz

Will that PDF be the full version of the book, and include all of the colour pictures of the painted armies etc?

So mounted archer amazons could be a streach goal if the kick starter goes really well? also maybe more faction specific charriots?
